Managing moisture is the key to staying comfortable in cold conditions, especially during big climbing, mountaineering and ski days, where stop-start activity challenges even the most refined layering systems. Long approaches, strenuous pitches, and never-ending belays make it hard to stay warm and dry.
Your base layer is the most important factor, helping your other clothing to work as effectively as possible. The Switch Base Zip-T is a highly specialised next-to-skin piece using our well-proven Octayarn fabric, this time with no face or lining fabric to ensure completely unrestricted moisture transfer and incredibly fast drying times.
Under the microscope, Octayarn is made from hollow, multidentate fibres, with each individual fibre having eight protruding cog-like ‘teeth’. This complex 3D structure increases surface area and traps warm air, improving warmth and moisture-wicking capability while reducing overall weight. Octayarn offers the thickness of an 80-denier fibre but for half the weight and considerably less bulk.
Combining perfectly with our highly breathable mid and outer layers like the Switch Pro Jacket, Switch Alpine Jacket and the Intra series, the Switch Base Zip-T makes hostile, cold conditions appreciably more comfortable, whether on a multi-day test piece or a local ski tour.

UK Delivery
Order before 12pm Monday to Friday for same day dispatch. Orders placed Saturday and Sunday will be dispatched on Monday.
Most orders are delivered by Royal Mail using a Tracked 24 service. Oversized packages such as skis, ski poles and large tents will be delivered by DHL or Parcelforce with a delivery timescale of 2-5 days.

Most orders are delivered during office hours. Higher value orders may require a signature. To help ensure you receive your delivery quickly and safely, at our website checkout, you can provide an alternative address or a safeplace for the delivery to be left if no one will be home to receive the parcel.
Returns
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a refund or exchange within 28 days of the dispatch date provided that the goods are in a new and unused condition, with the original labels still intact.

Click & Collect
Free Click and Collect is available for all products on our website. At checkout, select Click and Collect as your delivery option. Then, choose the Craigdon Aberdeen store to collect your order from. You will receive an email to confirm your order. You will get a second message when your order is ready to collect. Items in stock at your chosen store should be available within 24 hours of ordering. If we need to take items from another store or warehouse, it will take between 1 and 3 working days before they are available to collect.
