Ski Testing 2016: Scott Superguide 88
Scott Superguide 88 – Advanced to Expert Ski Touring
The replacement for the massively popular Crusair, these skis have a lot to live up to and boy do they. The elliptical construction is taken from Scott’s The Ski and provides a really powerful but forgiving core with incredibly positive edge power. This is boosted by a Carbon/Kevlar laminated to produce confident power at an incredibly light weight at 1270g per ski. The Pro Tip Rocker 320 makes the ski easy to manoeuvre and power through powder and crud. The Scott skins are easy to attach and remove, saving time and energy. At 88 mm underfoot this is a go anywhere platform for those who like the powder. This is now the best all round touring ski on the market as the Crusair was before it.
Testers Comments: “Potent power delivered in a light weight package, these skis are both really good on edge and very easy to use. There is nothing like them for the combination of weight in a powerful confident ski.”
