The Fritschi Diamir Vipec 12 Safety Tech Ski Touring Binding is unique in that it is the first ever Tech Norm Touring Binding System to offer a fully calibrated toe release of up to DIN 12 which conforms to ISO standards.

  • Calibrated frontal heel release
  • Brake which locks in the up position when walking
  • 3 step walk level adjustment
  • Colour Clips are available as accessories in five additional attractive colours to make your binding look the way you want (sold separately)
  • The right choice for ski touring and free touring.
  • With the Vipec 12 it is not only easier and safer to climb uphill, it also allows a more dynamic and safer style of skiing downhill – in any terrain and in all snow conditions. The Vipec 12 is the right choice for ambitious touring skiers and riders opting for a pin binding to meet their personal needs.
  • The lateral forces used to control the skis are acting in front. The high lateral forces to lead the skis are acting in back. Based on these facts, the Vipec 12 releases laterally in a front unit, similar to Alpine bindings, and the frontal release mechanism is provided separately in a stable heel unit.
  • Certified excellence with Swiss quality
  • All of its components are made in Switzerland and assembled into high-quality products in Reichenbach.
  • Vipec 12 is the lowest weight pin binding with defined release and the new, innovative technology offers effective added value to the user. As an added highlight, it has been certified by TÜV according to the DIN/ISO 13992 standard for ski touring bindings.
  • Offers superior performance at a mere 490 grams
  • Today’s touring skis and boots allow a considerably more dynamic style of skiing and the Vipec 12 is the right binding for this. It provides state-of-the-art safety and skiers are sure to appreciate its light weight of only 490 grams.
  • The only with front lateral release
  • When a skier falls, the lateral forces will act in front where the ski is controlled. Vipec 12 is the only pin binding with lateral release via the front unit similar to Alpine bindings. Boot is freed immediately upon release.
  • In conventional pin bindings the boot is released in the back via a rotating heel unit. The boot is not released unless the clamping mechanism in the front is pushed open.
  • The only with a stable, non-rotating heel unit
  • In downhill skiing, the higher forces are transmitted in the back. Similar to Alpine bindings, the force acting vertically in the turns is transmitted to a stable heel unit.
  • This prevents a loss of power or unwanted releases caused by rotational movements of the heel unit as in conventional pin bindings. The ski always remains on track.
