Scarpa Men's Vapour V

Scarpa Men's Vapour V

Another stalwart of the Scarpa climbing shoe range, the Vapour V is a tried and trusted bastion of the Balanced Performance series. With an impeccable blend of performance, comfort, versatility and durability it’s easy to see why this shoe can be seen everywhere; from indoor boulder gyms to the windswept granite towers of Patagonia.
Built around the relatively low volume FR last, the Vapour V provides a slightly asymmetrical and slightly downturned profile. The microfibre upper and padded air mesh tongue marry perfectly with the opposing Velcro straps, for an instantly comfortable fit and secure heel hold. A full length Flexan midsole partners the Bi-Tension rand system to offer the optimum levels of support. Vibram XS Edge rubber ensures further support and precision edging.
This iteration of the Vapour V sees a switch from the M70 toe rand - used in its yellow predecessor - to that of the harder, lower stretch Ilga rubber rand seen in the Instinct series. This results in a shoe that holds its toe point, edging precision for longer and provides improved durability.
Often mistaken for a mid-range shoe, the modern Vapour’s complex multi-panel construction, precise fit, premium feature set and worldwide fanbase attest to far more!

Weight: 240g per 1/2 pair 40
Sole: Vibram® XS Edge (3.5mm)
Upper: Multi-panel upper with seamless big toe panel and low-rise four-toe panel for the best custom moulding fit. The top panels are Microfibre, bottom panel is suede. Twin Velcro strap closure for easy entry and quick fastening.

Technical Features:

Bi-Tension: Basically, a reverse slingshot rand that's anchored under the critical toe area and connects directly to the heel rand, only there's nothing basic about it. The patent-pending system actively pulls power from the toes, rather than cramming your toes painfully forward, giving immediate performance with less tension. And that means less rubber, making your shoes lighter, more sensitive and more reactive.
Resoling Possible: Scarpa shoes and boots are built to the highest standard and should serve you for many years of use. However, just like tyres on a car, the rubber parts of a boot, shoe or rock shoe can wear down with use, and that’s why we offer a full re-sole service. Resoling not only extends the lifespan of your Scarpa footwear, it also returns it to it’s very best level of performance.
M70 Rubb: M70 is a rubber compound that offers good levels of adaptability and containment in the same time. This rubber compound gives a Shore A rating of 70, making it perfect for use on toe rands and strategic positioning around the shoe upper.
Vibram® XS Edge: Developed to provide maximum edging support, the VIBRAM® XS Edge compound delivers excellent pure grip while adding improved firmness for the most challenging edging moves. Thanks to an improved resistance to plastic distortion, it keeps its shape even after hours of use, maintains consistent feel in both hot and cold temperatures, and is formulated for improved durability.

RUSH TRK GTX is the new benchmark for all day long and short mountain hike. It is a walking boot made in the name of comfort with technologies that reduce foot fatigue during the hike. It represents a culmination of soft comfort, solid stability and a lightweight feel.

FEATURES

UPPER The upper is in 1.6-1.8 mm leather with characteristics of waterproofing, breathability, abrasion-resistant surface and durability. The ankle collar provides better ankle support, protection and comfort thanks to an Autofit 3D COLLAR in padded fabric able to stabilize the entire foot without pressure points and wrap the ankle following its movement.
LINING GORE-TEX (Extended Comfort) Laminate is made by a highly abrasion resistant and quick drying textile lining material while the highly breathable membrane holds a remarkable ability to disperse heat.
