DMM Spectre Quickdraw Green 25cm

The Spectre quickdraw is perfect for climbers building their first rack. The carabiners are full sized for easy handling, have a small gate notch for reduced snagging, and I-Beam construction to reduce weight. A lightweight 11mm Dynatec Dyneema® sling links the carabiners, making a great starter quickdraw that can be used for all styles of climbing. ALL-ROUND QUICKDRAW FOR FLEXIBILITY All-round range are mounted on 11mm Dynatec to give quickdraws that can be used for sport, trad or winter climbing. Full sized carabiners are easy to handle when pumped or wearing gloves, while 11mm Dynatec is lightweight and robust. If you want one set of quickdraws to cover all your climbing, go for all-rounders. Mounted on 11mm Dynatec to balance low weight and durability Dynatec is strong and light, allowing thin and flexible slings to be used to connect carabiners. An 11mm diameter sling strikes a balance between minimal weight and durability, creating lightweight quickdraws that can withstand repeated use. Wire gate carabiners for maximum weight saving Wire gates are the lightest gate type available, and are appropriate for trad, alpine and winter climbing, where minimal weight is desirable. They are less likely to freeze and clog with ice than solid gate biners, making them ideal for winter and alpine climbing. Small gate notch reduces snagging Carabiners with wire gates need a gate notch to achieve their full strength rating. The notches on these carabiners are as small as possible while remaining functional, reducing the chance of them snagging on other equipment. I-Beam construction for optimum strength to weight ratio I-Beam construction techniques allow carabiners to be lighter without compromising strength. This is achieved through hot forging, a process which allows metal to be made into complex shapes that improve functionality. Contrasting carabiner colours identify rope and gear ends of quickdraw Contact with wires and bolts can mark a carabiner with sharp edges that might be harmful to ropes. The carabiners on our quickdraws are differentiated by colour, allowing you to consistently use the same end for either protection or ropes. SPECS: Length: 25cm Weight: 80g Gate Opening: 23mm

DMM Wallnut 6 - Red

Despite their simple appearance, Wallnuts are highly featured pieces of climbing hardware. Different alloy is used for each size - smaller Wallnuts are made from a harder alloy to prevent shearing, while larger sizes are softer so they can bite into placements. Larger Wallnuts feature hollow construction to reduce weight. Wallnuts can be placed in two different orientations, allowing a single nut to cover a range of cracks. They are tapered across both their face and sides, helping them sit better in cracks that are rarely parallel sided. Grooved faces reduce weight, help the nut seat better in cracks, improve security in shallow placements, and resist lifting out when a leader moves past them. Wallnuts are mounted on wires that are stiff enough to allow overhead placements, while flexible enough to reduce the chance of lifting out. They are colour coded to correspond with the rest of our protection range, and to give quick and easy selection of the correct size from your harness. Wallnuts are the basis on which to build a comprehensive climbing rack. Complemented by other, more specialised pieces of protection, they are guaranteed to be the most regularly used piece of protection on your harness. Curved taper gives stable placements and resists lifting out Passive protection can be placed either side or face on, doubling the number of cracks any single piece can protect. Grooved faces improve security in irregular rock The DMM protection range is colour coded on the anodised nut and shrink wrap for quick and easy size selection. Single ropes are the most simple and lightweight rope systems for climbing. They can be used for any discipline, and are appropriate where protection follows a relatively straight line. If the route wanders, runners will need to be extended to prevent rope drag and prevent trad protection from lifting out. ThermoControl heat treatment for positive handling and suppleness. ThermoControl heat treatment alters the fibres within the rope, balancing the core and sheath to minimise slippage and prevent the rope shrinking or going stiff.
