Scarpa Vapour V LV

Scarpa Vapour V LV

Another stalwart of the SCARPA climbing shoe range, the Vapour V LV (Low Volume) is a tried and trusted bastion of the Balanced Performance series. With an impeccable blend of performance, comfort, versatility and durability it’s easy to see why this shoe can be seen everywhere; from indoor boulder gyms to the windswept granite towers of Patagonia.
Built around the lower volume FRW last, the Vapour V LV provides a slightly asymmetrical and slightly downturned profile. The microfibre upper and padded air mesh tongue marry perfectly with the opposing Velcro straps, for an instantly comfortable fit and secure heel hold. A full length Flexan midsole partners the Bi-Tension rand system to offer the optimum levels of support. Vibram XS Grip2 rubber adds support, while providing cutting edge traction across a range of surfaces.
This iteration of the Vapour V sees a switch from the M70 toe rand - used in its predecessor - to that of the harder, lower stretch Ilga rubber rand seen in the Instinct series. This results in a shoe that holds its toe point, edging precision for longer and provides improved durability.
Often mistaken for a mid-range shoe, the modern Vapour’s complex multi-panel construction, precise fit, premium feature set and worldwide fanbase attest to far more!

Weight: 200g per 1/2 pair 38

Another stalwart of the Scarpa climbing shoe range, the Vapour V is a tried and trusted bastion of the Balanced Performance series. With an impeccable blend of performance, comfort, versatility and durability it’s easy to see why this shoe can be seen everywhere; from indoor boulder gyms to the windswept granite towers of Patagonia.
Built around the relatively low volume FR last, the Vapour V provides a slightly asymmetrical and slightly downturned profile. The microfibre upper and padded air mesh tongue marry perfectly with the opposing Velcro straps, for an instantly comfortable fit and secure heel hold. A full length Flexan midsole partners the Bi-Tension rand system to offer the optimum levels of support. Vibram XS Edge rubber ensures further support and precision edging.
This iteration of the Vapour V sees a switch from the M70 toe rand - used in its yellow predecessor - to that of the harder, lower stretch Ilga rubber rand seen in the Instinct series. This results in a shoe that holds its toe point, edging precision for longer and provides improved durability.
Often mistaken for a mid-range shoe, the modern Vapour’s complex multi-panel construction, precise fit, premium feature set and worldwide fanbase attest to far more!

Weight: 240g per 1/2 pair 40
Sole: Vibram® XS Edge (3.5mm)
Upper: Multi-panel upper with seamless big toe panel and low-rise four-toe panel for the best custom moulding fit. The top panels are Microfibre, bottom panel is suede. Twin Velcro strap closure for easy entry and quick fastening.

Technical Features:

Bi-Tension: Basically, a reverse slingshot rand that's anchored under the critical toe area and connects directly to the heel rand, only there's nothing basic about it. The patent-pending system actively pulls power from the toes, rather than cramming your toes painfully forward, giving immediate performance with less tension. And that means less rubber, making your shoes lighter, more sensitive and more reactive.
Resoling Possible: Scarpa shoes and boots are built to the highest standard and should serve you for many years of use. However, just like tyres on a car, the rubber parts of a boot, shoe or rock shoe can wear down with use, and that’s why we offer a full re-sole service. Resoling not only extends the lifespan of your Scarpa footwear, it also returns it to it’s very best level of performance.
M70 Rubb: M70 is a rubber compound that offers good levels of adaptability and containment in the same time. This rubber compound gives a Shore A rating of 70, making it perfect for use on toe rands and strategic positioning around the shoe upper.
Vibram® XS Edge: Developed to provide maximum edging support, the VIBRAM® XS Edge compound delivers excellent pure grip while adding improved firmness for the most challenging edging moves. Thanks to an improved resistance to plastic distortion, it keeps its shape even after hours of use, maintains consistent feel in both hot and cold temperatures, and is formulated for improved durability.

Scarpa Men's Instinct VS Climbing Shoes

The Instinct VS, subtlety blends the characteristics of the Slipper and Lace-Up versions to create a superb technical shoe.
The Instinct VS features the same Micro-Suede upper used on the Instinct Slipper which provides great flexibility and ensures that the shoes hold their shape longer than leather equivalents
The upper is built around the down-turned toe last of the Instinct family ensuring precise toe placements with high levels of feedback. Vibram XS-Edge ensures that your feet will stay planted on the smallest of edges and stiffens up the toe increasing responsiveness. Bi-Tension technology intimately connects the toe and the heel of the boot helping to increase overall performance which is guaranteed to last.
Velcro straps keep the heel of the shoe firmly secured to your foot even on the most demanding heel-hooks with the new toe rand design providing durable performance on toe-hooks.

Last: FV
Sole: Vibram XS Edge 3.5 mm
Upper: Synthetic Micro Suede+ Suede
Weight: 230g
