The Mountain Equipment Senja is light and packable enough for remote journeys, but with the features required for long term use. It's the ideal insulation for trekking and mountaineering in cold conditions.
This jacket combines lightweight construction with the totally windproof, highly water-resistant and durability of Mountain Equipment's DRILITE Loft 40D fabric. The stitched-through baffle construction throughout the garment minimises the amount of outer fabric and stitching required, providing a significant weight saving. Around 220g of 700 FP pure down is packed inside these chambers to provide warmth without the weight and all the down Mountain Equipment use in their insulated garments conforms to The Down Codex Scheme, allowing the down to be completely traceable all the way back to the farm.
The adjustable Mountain Hood is paired up with an insulated collar for warmth and protection against the biting wind, and the adjustable cuffs and dual tether hem drawcord enables you to get the perfect fit. Two zippered hand warmer pockets and a inner zippered security pocket keeps your essentials close.
The DOWN CODEX® places animal welfare, quality and sustainability at the heart of each, and every down insulated product. First created in 2009 its key aim is to manage and reduce risk in our down supply chain by constantly working to develop our knowledge and best practice, backed up by comprehensive and transparent auditing. All of the virgin down Mountain Equipment purchase is a by-product of the food & meat industry and 100% of it comes from independently audited sources. All of the supply chains ME use are independently audited to ensure standards of welfare and quality are met.
To trace the down, you will find a 12-digit code printed on the DOWN CODEX stamped label inside your product. Simply enter this on thedowncodex.co.uk to access specific information relating to the down in your product.
